Growing-Evolving-and favoriting things HARD.

In this new season of my life, I have been faced with new challenges and experiences. Which in the past few months has helped me find some new favorite things that I cannot live without. So I had to share:

Firstly, since I now have a town-home to decorate and make my own…I have become a plant lady. I have always wanted to be this natural, “I know what my plants need” type of woman…but I am FAR from that. I have managed to kill a few cactus in my lifetime so adding any other plants to my space was a no go. UNTIL, I found this app called Planta (IT’S FREE) and it sends me NOTIFICATIONS when my plants need to be watered or misted (I had NO idea there was a difference). It lets me know when the plant needs to be re-potted, fertilized, and even the conditions the plant will do best in. Lastly, I can even take a picture to identify a plant (I pay for this feature.) Because, of course, I just pick up what is cute and have no idea of the plant names and what they need. In all, I nor my plants could live without this app. It also has made taking care of my planties so much more enjoyable and manageable. Say HELLO to your new green thumb friend! Next, another decor favorite of mine is my new doggie poster! I have to say Fred is the cutest thing I’ve ever seen in my entire life (I may be biased) BUT, this portrait of Fred is even cuter and it can’t snatch your food out of your hands. This past month I worked with West & Willow and the products are great and the people of the company are EVEN better. Basically, you select the type of poster and size you want. Then you submit a few pictures of your animal for artists to draw, they draw it, then BOOM you have the cutest print to hang in your home. Okay, then the shoes that I have not taken off at ALL this month…my new doc martens. Hannah got these for me for my birthday. Eee and they’re so cute and go with everything! My favorite outfits to wear them with is some boyfriend jeans and a slouchy sweater or cardigan. You can dress them up and down and make them work for all of the seasons we experience here in North Carolina. YOU NEED TO ADD THIS TO YOUR CART, like NOW :)

Lastly, I chopped my hair off…hehe. I had the urge and the seven in me just said screw it and scheduled an appointment. SO now that I can barely put my hair in a ponytail, I have been having so much fun with finding fun ways to style it. My current fave which will work for long and short hair is this texturizing spray. I spray it in my hair before I style it and it adds volume and helps the hold of my curls. I will also put it in my hair by itself and it adds the best body and natural wave to my hair. It is all-natural so don’t worry about putting heat on your hair afterward because there is no butane in this product like your others!! All I have to say is this needs to be added to your daily routine.
